Share of the Week — Bold Marketing

Posted on Updated on

Here’s a great viral Youtube video posted by the Alamo Drafthouse that I came across on a small business marketing blog.

It may be offensive to some, but it is a strong statement to customers who want to enjoy a movie experience as it is meant to be. Here’s what Alamo Drafthouse included as a description with their video:

“We do not tolerate people that talk or text in the theater. In fact, before every film, we have several warnings on screen to prevent such happenings. Occasionally, someone doesn’t follow the rules, and we do, in fact, kick their asses out of our theater. This video is an actual voicemail from a woman that was kicked out of one of our Austin theaters. Thanks, anonymous woman, for being awesome.”

Is this up your alley? Does it sound like a business you would support? What do you think?

Looove it; there’s someone who sets rules (and obviously posts them for everyone to see), and wow – actually abides by them – how’s that for a novel concept???
Kudos to the theater for following through!
