What toys did you have as a kid?
Recently, I have been talking with many business people about the special type of pattern recognition it takes to be an entrepreneur. There is something profound about the entrepreneurial mindset, and I have asked myself and others many questions, but just recently a mentor stopped me at a specific one.
I said “What toys/tasks did you play with/partake in as a child that built your pattern recognition skills?”
There is no doubt that entrepreneurs see voids and fill them in a unique way, but I wonder how much of this stems from childhood, and analysis developed early on.
I do not have any data to back this up, but I am very curious if there is a parallel, or a certain developmental cycle that occurred to drive the entrepreneurial mindset.
I would love to hear your feedback 🙂
